Ongoing Events


Art Exhibits:  Daily, during Open Library Hours.
Stroll through the front foyer and the Main Library to admire our revolving-displays, featuring local artists and crafters. Past exhibits have featured oil, acrylic and water-color paintings, sculpture, hooked rugs, quilts, and photography. If you are interested in having your work exhibited, please contact the Library.

Permanent Exhibit: Our permanent exhibit featuring the work of the late Bernard Langlais, gifts from the Colby College and the Kohler Foundation, Inc.


Saturday Story Hour at 10:30 am: Weekly Story time takes place during the school year. Stories and crafts are provided to preschoolers and their caregivers by volunteers. During school vacations and in the event that Union 69 schools are canceled or delayed, this program will be canceled.


Tech Assist.  On the first Thursday of every month, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, or by appointment, Julie Sells will be available to help with basic computer questions, and can help troubleshoot Microsoft word issues.  Julie can discuss the merits of using Excel, teach you the basics of PowerPoint for your presentation, or setup your Word document for that memoir or novel you want to write.

Family Game Night: Second Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Bring your a group of friends or family, and enjoy a variety of games. If you have a favorite board game, please bring and share with us.


Fiber Arts Tuesday. From 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, join us. Itching for spring, or completing that fiber arts project?  Come and stitch with Penelope Olson and Julie Sells on the third Tuesdayof every month.  We promise dynamic discussions, and perhaps, laughter while we work on our projects.  As Penelope is an expert fiber artist, please come with questions.

Library Seed Catalog: Started in 2013, the Library has utilized an old card catalog to house garden seeds for patron planting. We also welcome donations of garden seeds to add to our catalog!
