Art Exhibits:  Daily, during Open Library Hours.
Stroll through the front foyer and the Main Library to admire our revolving-displays, featuring local artists and crafters. Past exhibits have featured oil, acrylic and water-color paintings, sculpture, hooked rugs, quilts, and photography. If you are interested in having your work exhibited, please contact the Library.

Permanent Exhibit: Our permanent exhibit featuring the work of the late Bernard Langlais, gifts from the Colby College and the Kohler Foundation, Inc.


Saturday Story Hour at 10:30 am: Weekly Story time takes place during the school year. Stories and crafts are provided to preschoolers and their caregivers by volunteers. During school vacations and in the event that Union 69 schools are canceled or delayed, this program will be canceled.


Tech Assist.  Thursday evenings, we offer help with basic computer questions.

Fiber Arts Tuesday. From 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, join us. Itching to complete your fiber arts project?  Come and stitch with us on the third Tuesdayof every month. 

Library Seed Catalog: Started in 2013, the Library has utilized an old card catalog to house garden seeds for patron planting. We also welcome donations of garden seeds to add to our catalog!


Ongoing Summer Reading Program registration. (4) Kindles were generously donated by the Union Masons as prizes! Drawing will be Sat, Aug 24 at 10:30 am.


Ongoing Recycled: From the waste bin to the wall Art Show. Please stop by to see art work by a variety of local artists! This show is not to be missed.. 


Tuesdays, August 6, 13, 20 & 27, 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Gentle Yoga Flow with Kyla. Ongoing class for registered participants only. Register for next session.


Thursdays, August 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29, 6–8 pm: Tech Assist.  We will be available to assist with basic computer & software questions and trouble shoot issues.


Monday, August 12, 5:30-6:30 pm: Lessons from Avian Haven Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center - a citizen's guide to helping the birds of Maine. We will discuss common reasons why birds are admitted to Avian Haven in Freedom and what the public can do to help local birds.

Tuesday, August 20, 3–4 pm: Fiber Arts.  Do you have a fiber arts project you are working on? Come and stitch with us on the third Tuesday of every month.

Saturday, August 24, 10:30 am: Summer Reading Program Raffle Drawing. Raffle prizes of Kindles were generously donated by the Union Masons.


Saturdays, 10:30 am: Storytime​ for children of any age!
